About who needs care: Post stroke and dementia, recently lost spouse of 67 years. She needs companionship, someone who will take meals with her and converse, no matter how off the wall her conversation may be due to the dementia. A car is provided for outings, just a look at the clouds and countryside. She needs to feel safe and is 100% incontinent since her stroke in 2019. Sleeps all night, bed alarm and motion monitors are provided just in case. She is very kind and appreciative, has always been the caretaker for others. We need someone for one 24 hr shift from 7 p.m. Friday till 7 p.m. Saturday every week and prn when others on our team have appointments..
About the care needs: Personality: someone who is caring, understands farm life and likes to talk
Special skills: know how to bathe post stroke safely. *she manages a walker, but dementia sometimes makes her forget her disability so we watch her like a hawk.
Hobbies/Interest: she loves her flowers
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
