30something single foster parent to two young girls on the UWS. Part-time nanny needed a few days a week to assist with transportation to/from visits with their birth parents, pickup from daycare/school, help in the evenings, and general backup/assistance so I don't lose my mind.
Also, foster care is a raging dumpster fire, so buckle up for chaos and more what's-going-on moments than the last 4 years of the Trump administration.
This is definitely not a job for just anyone no matter how many years of experience one has looking after kids. An extremely high emotional IQ is necessary, as is the ability to muster up more patience than you ever thought possible. There's a lot more hoops you'll have to jump through, last minute changes, and general messes than one usually encounters in a nanny gig. Apologies in advance!
