Part-Time Nanny

(1)
I am relocating to Arlington, Virginia this August and I am looking for *one-time/date night/overnight* babysitting jobs through this upcoming 2014-2015 school year. Hours are flexible, depending on my nursing schedule. I am 24 years old and graduated with a degree in Sociology, minor in Family Studies/Psychology. This fall, I will be returning to school to obtain my BS in Nursing by December of 2015. I hope to be a pediatric or labor-and-delivery nurse. I have been caring for children from 8 weeks old to 16 years old for the last 10 years, through high school and college. After college, I moved to Spain for a year where I was an Au Pair for three children (ages 13, 11, and 9 at that time). While abroad, I had the opportunity to care for the children. I teach the kids English, help them with their homework, take them to their extracurricular activities, and watch them overnight while their parents were out of town. In addition, I prepared dinner when needed, did the family's laundry, and kept the house orderly. Also, I have been a camp counselor at summer camps for children and teenagers both in the USA and in Panama, Brazil, and Ireland while on mission trips with my church. This past year for 9 months I was a full-time nanny for two rambunctious little boys (ages 2, 4). I took the children to and from school, did the family's grocery shopping, and cooked and prepared the children's lunches and occasionally dinners. I did the entire family's laundry on a weekly basis, and kept the house orderly each day. Currently I am babysitting for a 4-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy through the end of the summer. My responsibilities are similar to my previous nannying jobs. I have always said that kids bring out the best in me. They know how to bring out my joyful, passionate, and goofy side. I go to work as a nanny hoping to be a blessing to children, yet instead, they are the ones that are constantly inspiring and challenging me! I look forward to possibly working with, and building a relationship with your kiddos!
