Hello, I wanted to tell you a bit about my experience with special needs children. My younger brother is ADD and Autistic. I was his main caregiver growing up and learned on the fly. Since then I have taken classes and training having to do with special needs children, gone to many IEP's so I am familiar with the institutional side of things, and most importantly, worked with all kinds of different children. ADD, ADHD, ODD, OCD, DID, Dyslexia, Down Syndrome, Asperger's and the Autism Spectrum are all things I am very familiar working with. I have also worked with two children in wheelchairs.
