I received a Master of Education degree, with an emphasis on Special Education from San Jose State University. I have over 12 years of experience working within the applied behavior analysis field, working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, Asperger's, PDD-NOS, and a variety of other cognitive and physical diagnoses. I have worked as a behavior therapist for over 12 years within the Bay Area of California. Over the past six plus years, I have managed programs for dozens of children, of all ages. I also created an ABA-embedded preschool program for a school district, which is currently in its fourth year. An integral portion of this program was it's parent training component, which I designed and implemented. Over this past school year, my position shifted to being the on-site behaviorist and supervisor for a non-public school for individuals with autism, and other neurological and developmental delays. Over the past 12 years, I have obtained multiple professional certifications (SCERTS, Teaching to Individuals with English as a Second Language), and completed trainings, PECs, and AAC. A special interest of mine is sensory integration, having done a research thesis on. I am a new mom, and am currently looking to provide childcare for one other child, in my home, in Lafayette. I have a child friendly, single family home, no pets, and maintain a clean, comfortable environment for everyone. My daughter is 12-months old; I am ideally looking to provide care for another child aged 6 months-4 years old. I am available on a part-time basis.
