I recently accepted a full-time position with a family. However, I am still available occasionally on the weekends. Since February 2014, I have been employed with a company in Iowa that provides trained and an experienced caregivers to families with individuals with disabilities. As a caregiver, I am responsible for assisting clients with personal, home, community and work skills, in addition to transporting clients to appointments, school, and group meetings. I have worked with children as young as 4 to adults as old as 60, all with special needs. My schedule is constantly changing, with me gaining new clients and constantly having to learn about new conditions. I have always been drawn to a field where I would be able to serve people. I find that as a caregiver, I am able to help both individuals and families, grow and meet their goals and dreams, and this brings me joy! As a result of rigorous school and work standards and schedules, I have developed excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.

Victoria is excellent with children, and is up to date on the safety and health of working with infants to teens. She stepped in and helped with my 3 year old granddaughter and 7 month old grandson who was delayed in learning due to neglect. She quickly got the family up to speed on where the kids should be at after consulting with a health professional. Victoria is very proactive in preventing problems before they can occur, however if a problem happens she just goes with the flow to smooth the situation and then analyzes afterwords to prevent incident from occurring again. I would utilize her anytime.
