I began working as a nanny after a 14-year career as a pediatric RN, which included neonatal & infant/toddler ICU, pediatric private duty home health care, & elementary school nursing experiences. I have now worked as a nanny for over 20 years. During my first seven years as a nanny I came into homes to care for infant to preschool-aged children (mostly 1-2 children; most had pets) on a full- or part-time basis, depending on the family's need. For the next 11+ years I served one family, a single mother of twins (& their 2 cats), who I began caring for the day the twins turned 9 months old; shortly after they turned 2, I moved in with the family & became their live-in nanny for the remainder of my employment with them (nearly 10 years). Since then I have been employed full-time as a nanny in MN, most of the time in a nanny-share in which one of the children had complex medical needs. I look forward to begin working with a new family by fall, as my current job draws to a close.
