I am 45 yrs old and recently lost my mother to a horrible disease called multiple sclerosis. My mom needed assistance for 20 yrs of her life. This horrible disease ended her in a nursing home her last 5 yrs of life. Even then needing additional care from family to monitor her care unfortunately. My dad passed going on 3 yrs ago and had suffered for 2 years with an ever growing aneurysm that was inoperable. I have had a half a life time of care for seniors. I also took on the other 2 roommates in my mothers nursing care. I truly feel for elderly people in such a personal way that I hurt for them. I do know though that sometimes its just companionship. I have cared fully for a bed bound mother. My mothers diagnoses of MS followed with more tragedy years following.. a heartache and trigeminal neuralgia and breast cancer. A father who needed assistance with groceries, cleaning, companionship and doctor appointments. I understand and want to share my assistance to help.
