My name is Tina, I am a Senior at James Madison University! For the past two summers I was a full-time nanny for two wonderful boys! They are 5 and 7 years old and they definitely keep me very active! I try to keep the boys as active as possible; going to the park, swimming at the pool, playing outside, taking walks and looking for different types of leaves, nuts and animals. I also plan a craft every Friday, bake every Wednesday, go to story time at the library and plan trips to the free summer movies and bouncy houses once in a while. We also play "school" everyday to keep the kids learning going through the summer! For the 5-year-old we color, read, focus on letter sounds and writing letters. With the 7-year-old we do reading, writing in a journal, spelling and math. I also developed a reward system where the boys got stickers for making their beds, helping with baking, doing homework and others things. The stickers goes into a sticker book that I made every week and if the boys got 25 stickers that week then the next week they could choose a fun thing to do. Sometimes we went out for lunch but mostly they choose which pool they wanted to go to!
I wanted to give you a synopsis of my summer to give you a sense of what kind of baby sitter I am. I have an full-time internship this summer but I love kids and I want to fit in as much babysitting as I can. I will do my best to focus on whatever the parents of the children I care for wants! I have references from the parents I nanny for and from other employers I've had in the past. I am sure either would be happy to speak to you about my organizational skill and capability but mostly about my energy and enthusiasm. I simply love kids and hope to hear from you soon and good luck!
I am also CPR certified, comfortable with driving around and welcome background checks!
Can't wait to hear from you soon!
