Since I was 13, my Aunt would pay to babysit my little cousins who were 2 and 3 at the time. When she realized that I was really good at it, she started to refer me to close family friends. By the time I was 15, I got a summer job at a daycare center and I absolutely loved it. That summer I realized that I wanted to work with children, whether it was teaching them or just sitting there watching their imaginations flow. During the school year, I attended a magnet school that specialized in teaching us about different areas of education/child development. I am currently a college student and my major is Educational Psychology. I chose my major to better understand how to ensure that my future students are not hindered by their disabilities whether physical, emotional, mental or circumstantial. I am also an instructional Aide for Special Education.
