About Tatiana

Hello! I am a graduate of University of Redlands with a bachelor's degree entitled Investing in Our Future Through Education. For this degree, I mainly took classes in early childhood development and education. During college I was a part time nanny for a set of 4-year-old twins. After graduation, I worked in a group home with boys aging 6-13. I also did one-on-one therapy with children with autism spectrum disorder. I enjoyed both areas of work, but I was really looking to work in a school setting. Currently I work at Montessori in Redlands as their Elementary Childcare Specialist. We have about 80 children in our after school program ranging from 6 years old to 12 years old. I come up with activities for the children to do that still follow Montessori principles. These include group games, art projects, supplemental learning activities. A very important part of this job is managing conflict between students with a wide variety of personalities.
