Hi! I am a mature, compassionate, patient person with a passion for all types of care giving - teaching, tutoring, mentoring, senior care, and childcare. I recently relocated from PA, where I was a middle-school special education teacher and after-school tutor. For three years, I taught in a diverse urban school district with youth with mental retardation, learning disabilities, autism, and emotional disabilities. I loved the challenges and rewards of my job and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with children with special needs here in Florida. During my summers, I have taught summer school/camp and have been a one-on-one aide for children with disabilities from age 2 to 14. I have also worked for Home Instead Senior Care, providing companionship and personal care to elderly clients with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. For over 10 years, I have also been babysitting children of all ages and have references available upon request.
