I have grown up interacting with and caring for children at family gatherings throughout my entire life. I began babysitting at the age of 13. I worked at a daycare for a year and a half and absolutely loved my job. My duties included supervising, leading activities, preparing meals, and teaching preschool. I had to leave my job at the daycare to move to Eugene to attend the University of Oregon. I am currently in the Elementary Education program at the University. As an elementary major, I have spent time working with children in 2 first grade classrooms and a second and third grade classroom. I am working towards obtaining my masters degree in elementary education so that I can dedicate my life to teaching and caring for children. Working with kids is the biggest passion in my life. I have also had numerous volunteer experiences with children throughout my life, such as a Vacation Bible School teacher, Camp Counselor, and leader of after school skate program.

My first impression of Tara was made her on Care.com. I could tell by the way she presented herself her that she had the potential of being exactly the type of person I would feel comfortable entrusting the care of our children with. All of her communication with me was prompt, courteous and made me feel like she was genuinely interested in our family. When we met in person at our home she was on-time and called when directions were confusing. Our children, as did my husband and I, took to her right away. She is gracious and well spoken, and is a delight to watch interact with children, aged 9 months and 3 years. Our only disappointment was that because of her own personal goals and endeavors, which we highly admire, her schedule does not allow us to have her work with us more frequently. When she has worked for us, she does not hesitate to jump right in and take care of the children in every way, with meal preparations, clean up, and getting down and dirty playing with the kids! Our children truly enjoy her companionship and we have nothing but praise for her as a charming person, and child care provider!
