About Tabitha

I am a 4th grade teacher at an all-girls school on the UES. Before that, I taught at a charter school in the Bronx. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic for 2 years, where I was working as a Spanish Literacy Promoter. There I co-taught Spanish literacy in a local school, helped develop education strategies with parents, & led Dominican summer camps. I am a certified elementary school teacher (K-6) and am fluent in Spanish. I have my degree in elementary education as a Teaching Fellow at University and student taught in 4th grade in North Carolina, in addition to multiple internships at local elementary schools over 4 years. I also worked as camp counselor at co-ed summer camp for ages 2-13 for 8 years, volunteered at children's hospital in Costa Rica, and taught science in India for a month. I think kids do best when they know 1) that you love them and care about them, and 2) what you expect of them. I would love to talk to you about caring for your children!
