I have worked directly with children and adults with disabilities. My parents have a group home, ranging from 1 to 4 clients at all times. I have also been a private piano and voice teacher for the past six years and have taught two young boys with autism how to play the piano. My ability to be patient and set attainable goals helped these two boys to gain life and social skills. I have also worked for an autism services for the past year and a half and have over 1,000 hours in practicing ABA therapy. I have a passion for working with children that have disabilities, and I am currently in school with the goals of becoming a doctor of physical therapy. With this, I hope to work with solely with children that have special needs. I understand the patience and care that it takes to provide care to children that have special needs.
