Geriatric Social Worker with 18 years experience working with seniors. Three years in nursing homes and 10 years managing the day-to-day operations and supervising 24 hour a day staff of a licensed home for adults. In addition to administrative duties, I covered shifts when aides were unable to work. Each shift consisted of personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, activities, cleaning and laundry for 10 elderly residents with chronic mental illness, dementia and physical disabilities. My goal the last three years is to support seniors in the community so they are able to "age in place" in the comfort of their own home.

When my dad started failing and my mom needed help, we had no idea what to do or where to turn. Finding Suzanne was the greatest gift that could have EVER happened. She squeezed us into an already full schedule and became a permanent member of the family. My dad is gone now, but Suzanne always made him smile and even joke, even when his confusion made him unable to follow many conversations. My mom was very uncertain she wanted help and certainly felt uncomfortable with the idea of having strangers in the house on a regular basis. But Suzanne's friendship, energy, expertise, love and care overcame all of that. No matter what was needed, Suzanne delivered and did it with such warmth, care and often a touch of humor. Even now, we call on her when we need advise or help. We are better for having Suzanne in our lives, and if you have a chance to have her as part of your care team, jump at it. She's amazing, and we love her.
