About Susan

I have been tutoring/ teaching for many years and have never tired of working with students, young and old who either need to learn something new, or need help in understanding or learning in a new way. With students having different learning styles as well as different time tables for mastering new skills, I am passionate about seeing the difference even small successes can make in a student's willingness to try. I believe in building a students' skills which inevitably builds confidence. Along with tutoring and teaching, I have assessed many students in reading, writing, and math. I have worked with students of all different ages and can often spot gaps in learning. It is my goal to fill those gaps as well as motivate and empower students to do their best. Everyone has unique abilities and gifts, and it is my desire to see each student grow and develop their individual talents and be encouraged in their academic journey.
