I am a special education teacher, certified in orthopedically handicapped and learning disabilities. I love all children but my calling is working with special needs. I am in my tenth year of teaching and would now like to reach out in the community to provide services within the home, to assist and support parents anyway I can. I am willing to learn new skills to provide exceptional care. I am educated and have excellent organizational skills. School duties include leading IEP meetings, implementing IEPs, academic placement testing, working with school psychologist, speech therapist, OT, general education teachers, and parents. I have also worked with a nonprofit organization, which serves children in Haiti. I have three children of my own, my youngest is now in college so my afternoons and evenings are now open. Being a parent of a child with special needs is not easy. I would love the opportunity to help!
