Hello! I'm an experienced nanny and caregiver looking for halt-time work. My experience with special needs includes caring for those with learning differences, young boys with autism, & a paraplegic teen for whom I provided complete care for several years. I love helping each child reach his or her potential. I have a talent for dealing with those on the autism spectrum because I can generally understand what the real question is, something that isn't always clear when dealing with children who take things extra literally or who approach things with a unique perspective. I've also cared for a 40-something-year-old who was profoundly affected by Down syndrome. Each person with special needs is a unique individual--I'm happy to learn to know & understand your loved one so I can provide the best care and interactions possible and so contribute to their well-being and happiness.
