A knowledgeable sitter should be able to spot medical problems and handle emergencies, and make your absence less stressful all around. The pet gets to stay in his own environment or the sitter's home. He gets to stay in his own house, his own bed or in a home environment close to his own. And he gets fed with his own food. I have 7 years experience and prior veterinarian experience. I provide dog boarding (your home or mine). I prefer the pet owner to give me detailed, but simple, instructions in writing on how much to feed the dog and information about health and medications that might be needed. I also would like a next of kin contact and phone numbers of the owner as well as the dog's vet number. Do you make house calls? Yes (depending on the location). The owner will leave a key and I will leave a daily planner of feeding times and potty breaks. My visits are two times; daily once in the morning and in the evening. I used to work in a kennel and did x-rays, gave medications, fed and gave injections, opened the business and closed it, I did inventory, and ran the front office area, and took payments.
