I have worked in the public school system for 11 years. I have spent most of those years in special education. My husband and I have moved to Las Vegas on June 1, 2016 to be closer to family. Provided instruction to students K-6 in math, reading , and language arts in the Special Education room and in the student s main classroom. Help meet accommodations according to IEP. I covered classes so the classroom teacher could attend a student s IEP meeting and helped with bus dismissal one day a week so that classroom teachers could attend collaboration. I worked with the Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist to be familiar with skills/goals that were being worked on so that there was consistency. Over the years I have worked with children ranging from mild to profound special needs. I have worked a non-verbal student and their NOVA- Chat 8 communication device. I am also familiar with very basic sign language.
