I am currently a part-time nanny for a family with 2-year-old triplets. I am also a part-time sitter for another family with a 14-month-old daughter (and her two dogs). It is all about answering "what's that?", finding creative ways to offer balanced meals, and keeping everyone happy & engaged throughout the day.
A little bit about my professional background ... For three summers, I worked at a day camp for children, ages 5 to 15. Lunch and snacks were provided. I was responsible for creating and engaging the children in age appropriate activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and team building. I also worked in a child care facility. I was responsible for children ages 1 to 6, providing breakfast and setting up morning centers. I most recently worked for six years in the early intervention field, providing therapy services for children birth to age 3 that have been diagnosed with or are at risk for developmental disabilities. Services took place in the home, community or hospital setting to promote and encourage learning opportunities.
