About Sophia

My 10 years of experience comes from co- raising my nephew, who lives with me. He came into my life at a young age, me being 11, and having to put aside being a child and transition to becoming like a second mom for him. My nephew is very energetic with behavioral issues, and caring for him builds my patience and deepens my care and empathy for children. I have grown to believe in gentle (but firm) parenting. For about 6 months I nannied for a 6-month-old, cared to all her needs and loved every second of it. I also used to volunteer at my church every Sunday as a childcare provider with infants. This all has provided me with a wide range of ages, skills, and experience. There is nothing I love more than being around children and making them feel as important and precious as they are!
