For the past year now I have worked as a personal care assistant for a young man who is nonverbal and has autism, OCD, and Crohn's Disease. With this job I have assisted this young man with laundry, grooming, shopping, cooking and exercising. My main goal at this job is to help him become as independent as possible and assist him to experience as much of the world as possible. I am extremely passionate about this job because this young man is able to give me and teach me as much about life as I am able to assist him. Everyday I am able to learn something new from him and he gives me a completely different outlook on living with a disability.
