I have experience working at Baudhuin Preschool at Nova Southeastern University for three years as a lead ASD teacher. I also have experience teaching in a K-2nd grade ASD classroom in a public school. It is my passion to work with these students as they teach me everyday how to look at the world from a different perspective. While assessing their strengths and abilities, I challenge them by developing appropriate goals to further their communication, independence, academic achievement, and social skills. My lesson plans for this age group are based on differentiated instruction and hands on learning. My philosophy in teaching is that every child can learn and grow. It is our job to meet their needs so that they can reach their full potential. For the past two years, I have worked as an RBT. I have experience following a behavior plan, taking data, and modifying prompts. I believe that with structure, repetition, and dedication, children with autism can achieve great things
