I am presently a job coach and my passion is helping developmentally challenged young adults to reach their highest potential. I was a Special Needs Instructor, Behavior Coach/ Language Immersion Teacher, Remedial Reading Tutor, and Basic Life Skills teacher for every age group until I had to leave my teaching career behind to become a full time health care provider for my own parents in their home for several years, during that interim I became a Licensed Certified Nurse's Assistant in Maine. When I relocated, after placing them in a nursing facility, I became a live-in companion caregiver for two elderly women. So I became a respite caregiver to family members having to care for their loved ones in their homes during times of illness and convalescence. I prefer giving one on one care and attention in home compared to in a facility because I can spend more quality time with my clients and their family members.
