About Shirlee

Hello! I am a student at Cal Poly Slo majoring in Sociology with a minor in media arts, society, and technology. I babysat and tutored throughout all of high school and love working with children. I worked for the same few families over the years and some of my most notable responsibilities included: cooking, cleaning, doing dishes, driving, playing, tutoring, and even special needs therapy. I was head volunteer at my local animal adoption center, so I also have a lot of experience caring for pets. I believe I make a good babysitter/tutor because I like to make personal connections with the kids who I work with so that I can not only understand their needs and teach them better, but also offer trust and friendship. I'm excited to meet loving families and assist with my own skills and experience in any way I can!
