I have worked off and on between special needs Individuals and with Senior care since 1998. I am currently working with as a caregiver for a Home Care company. At the same time I am also in the process of earning my Bachelor Degree in Human Services/ Child Welfare. In 2010 I became certified as a nurses assistant. In June of 2014 I completed 8 hr class on Crisis Intervention. While proper containment of a violent individual may at times become necessary; I DO NOT believe restraint to ever be necessary. I am very experienced with redirection and have been quite successful in that area. I have become absolutely appalled at the way I have seen companies allow employees to get away with abuse and neglect. I am an extremely empathetic individual. Every individual I care for, I imagine myself as them and think on, how would I want to be cared for. Respecting and lifting their self esteem and making sure they are comfortable in every way means everything to me. I would love to meet and talk in person to those I can be of assistance to.
