Currently I am the assistant principal at De LaSalle Academy of Fort Myers. Previously I was an intervention specialist in an MD room at Oregon City Schools in Ohio. I graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in Special Education. I have a lot of experience working with special needs people, along with typical people. Before working for Oregon City Schools, I worked for Sensational Kids Daycare. I have been volunteering with special needs people for 13 years. I also worked as a nurses aide at a hospital for two years, along with being a home health care provider for one year before continuing onto college. I also worked as an Inclusion Coordinator at a camp, helping to include campers with disabilities. I am willing to work on schoolwork, IEP/504 goals, and other special needs for your children. II am very outgoing and easy to get along with and feel that I could connect well with you and your family.

Shelby is wonderful! She connected with our children right away, was always finding fun activities to keep them busy. We were so confident and comfortable with Shelby while she cared for our kids and in turn our kids were excited for her to come spend time with them and always enjoyed her. She is so capable with special needs, both understanding their needs and treating them compassionately and with kindness. I would highly recommend choosing her for your needs. Shelby also helped the kids keep up with some practice school workbooks over the summer break! Overall, she's trustworthy, down to earth and a great person for your care needs!!
