I have been working for over 12 years as a Personal Assistant and Care Provider! My goal is to help those who are not able to help themselves either due to aging or physical or emotional challenges. I have had the opportunity to expand my area of care into the area of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, this started with helping with Alzheimer's and Dementia Care helping regain Cognitive as well as Physical abilities that have been affected. In this last year I have continued by implementing CBT and DBT Therapy Techniques that I have been studying as well as others. Most recently I have been helping a 62-year-old man who had a herpes simplex virus in 2017 leaving several frontal lobe damage. The results of the damage are : Short term memory lose, Inability to Focus and Concentrate as well of Serious Inappropriate Behavioral. He has improved in all areas indicated. He is able to retain short term memories more and more and his ability to focus has made tremendous improvement.
