I worked for a university as a technical, cleared librarian for 30 years. I have a very strong work ethic, pays close attention to detail and always succeeded at meeting or beating deadlines and I am dependable. Due to budget cuts, my job was eliminated and I directly switched over to taking care of my disabled parents. My mother is bedridden with severe osteoporosis and my father gets very tired being her sole caregiver after having a triple bypass and valve replacement 1.5 years ago. Now that my parents are moving on to nursing care, my experience can now be used to help out someone else out there. I am very much ready to re-join the workforce, having been without a salary now for 2 years. My experience includes: Administering medicine (keeping a very detailed chart), helping generally to lessen pain, working with/observing heating pad use, preparing meals, housecleaning and laundry, running errands (including grocery shopping, going to the post office, bank and credit union, shopping for other household items as needed, take to doctor's appointments, provide companionship (watch movies, read books, short car trips). I respect and want to help seniors.
