The spirit, enthusiasm and connection that I have for children and adults with special needs and that they have for me, is so evident in person and so hard to show in words. They have always been an important part of my life. After graduation with a BS degree in Recreation, I worked as the Camp Director for Children with special needs. I developed and implemented a therapeutic recreation program on a pediatrics unit and rehab unit at a Hospital in Connecticut. After the birth of my daughter, I opened a specialty toy store. After selling the store, I worked as a paraprofessional in a high school special ed department which then led to developing a work study program for students with special needs. I have maintained a relationship with the families and students with Asperger's and continue to play a part in their lives. I have recently relocated to North Fort Myers to be near by dad and would love to be considered for the babysitting position.
