I am an active 56-year-old who loves being a nanny! I am the kind of nanny who gets down on the floor and plays, sings and reads. I love to climb, go down slides and play in the sand box right along the children I am caring for and if you have a pool, I am not afraid to get my hair wet and swim with the kids. I am a safe driver with a clean driving record, so you will have no worries if you need me to run errands or take your precious little ones to school, doctor appointments or play group. While the baby naps or if there is quiet time, I don't sit. If you have laundry to do, I'll get it done. A kitchen to clean, I'll do it! I have been a nanny for the past 18 months for a wonderful 22-month-old boy and their 4 dogs. His parents would be happy to speak with you in regard to their experience with me as their son's nanny. I have also been hired to help with grandchildren on family vacations and lovingly have been called the play lady. My caring spirit, enthusiasm and connection that I have with children is so evident in person. Children have always been an important part of my life. The following information will outline my professional experiences. After graduating with a BS degree in Recreation, I worked as a camp director for children with special needs. I developed and implemented a therapeutic recreation program on a pediatric and rehabilitation unit at a general hospital. After the birth of my daughter, I opened a specialty toy store which I successfully ran for 21 years. I love toys, books, arts and crafts, games, puzzles and sports. I love to play. After selling the store, I worked 2 years in a high school special education department, developing a work study program for students with special needs. I relocated 2 years ago to Florida to be near by aging father and was fortunate to be hired as a nanny.
