My Mom was diagnosed with MS in 1987 when I was only a few years old. I grew up assisting my Dad in her care. A few years ago she moved to Tennessee to live with my family and I, and I took care of her in my home for a year before deciding a nursing home would be more appropriate. After she was transitioned to a nursing home I became CNA certified and worked at the facility where she was staying. My Mom passed away February 2019. My family and I just relocated back to Michigan so that we could be closer to family. I am a stay at home Mom to my 3 children ages 9, 6 and 3. I know what it's like to have to depend on others to care for my loved one, and the choice isn't easy when decided who that person or facility should be. I would consider it an honor to care for your loved one.
