About Sera

Hi, my name is Sera. I've been a caregiver for the last 10-15 years. I grew up in an adult family home since my mom was a caregiver before she became a registered nurse. When I first started working I assisted clients with many different needs. Most were clients who needed help around the house, others need more assistance like bathing, toileting and dressing. I've also worked with clients who needed different kinds of Hoyer lifts to transfer due to physical limitation. I can safely lift and transfer heavy clients. I've also been transport to appointments whether its social, medical or otherwise. the last 4 years I've been working at a assisted living home with 9 clients. Many in different stages of Dementia. Working there really helped me to appreciate more the kind of special care folks with dementia need. I also assisted clients on Hospice. I've taken many classes to keep me up to date with all different aspects of caring for a client, no matter what their needs may be. I'm an NAR.
