I have always been drawn toward kids, and find that caregiving is a strength of mine. I've worked with kids officially since I was 12 as a leader in children's ministry at my church and as a babysitter. However, my experience with childcare began at 9 years old when my little brother was born. My brother carries with him a unique package of special needs, and growing up I always had a role in helping take care of him. In addition to working with my brother, I have also worked with many other children. I've spent 18 years as a babysitter, four years as a preschool teacher's aide, six years as a leader in children's ministry, as well as experience in my church nursery, my large extended family, my family's role caring for foster children, my role as a 4-H leader, being a camp counselor most, and as an adventure ministry guide working with teens. I enjoy working with infants through teenagers and am especially drawn toward toddlers and kiddos with special needs.
