I believe that every life has value in this world and it is a privilege to be able to interact and be in the life of those with developmental, cognitive, or physical limitations. I have an associates degree in ASL and I have my degree in special education (with an emphasis on severe disabilities and early childhood education.). I have been a functional skills school teacher for almost 4 years. Most of my experience is working with medically fragile students with low cognitive abilities as well as children/adults on the autism spectrum. I have experience in seizure care, transfers, g-tube feeding. I have a passion for working with adults/children with cognitive impairments and communication struggles and teaching them how to access tools to be more independent.
