Hi! I'm Sarah from Austin Texas. As the oldest of eight kids who were schooled at home and raised on a farm, I've been surrounded by kids and animals from a very early age so child care comes very naturally to me. Taking care of kids has always been a passion of mine and it lead me into the nursing field where I've worked as a school nurse for kids ages K - 12th grade for the last six years and I loved it! I've cared for kids with a wide variety of medical and special needs conditions such as: Type 1 Diabetes, asthma, Downs syndrome, autism spectrum, ADHD, ADD, Cerebral Palsy, epilepsy disorders, heart conditions requiring pacemakers, organ transplants, and more. I'm also experienced with administering medications and injections and using a feeding tube/ g-tube. Working within a school also gave me opportunity to interact with kids who had speech, hearing, and processing disorders. I'm a calm, patient, and caring person who loves kids. This is my dream job and I love it!
