I have worked in child care facilities and worked one on one with children for many years now. It has always been a passion of mine to work with children in all aspects of their life, whether it be their teacher, care giver, mother, aunt, or friend. I feel that children are our future so it is important to surround them with a positive life. I have been a caregiver to a variety of people in my years of experience. I have worked with special needs children since I was 17 years old. When I was in high school, I babysat a child with autism and Down syndrome. I very much enjoyed spending time with him. After that experience, I realized that being a care giver and educator was what I wanted to do as a career, so I went to college to become an elementary and special education teacher. I recently graduated from a State college with a bachelors degree in Elementary and Special education. Throughout my college experiences, I was able to work with children of many ages ranging from infant to 12-year-olds. I have worked with children with all different kinds of disabilities as well. I have worked with children with autism, downs syndrome, emotional disabilities, and children with Intellectual disabilities. I have no children of my own, so I don't know what it feels like to be a parent yet, but I am an aunt to three amazing children, 4, 1, and 7 months. Those kids are my world and they are what makes me happy. I hope to bring some happiness to your children life, too! Helping others is what I love to do. To bring a smile to another persons face brings me so much joy.
