Throughout high school, I worked one-on-one with the special needs children. I went on trips with them and also volunteered at the special Olympics. While at school in Valdosta, I had the privilege of helping children with autism. I enjoyed spending time with the kids and helping them with simple everyday events, that are sometimes taken for granted. I currently am working with a boy with autism for the past year and I have enjoyed it.
