Along with having 41 years full time ministry experience I have 17 years of experience as a care giver in a group home facility for the disabled. My responsibilities included all aspects of personal care plus over-site of all resident activities in and out of the home.
As an assistant manager I was also responsible for the conduct and evaluation of other staff members job performance.
Other responsibilities included proper medication administration.
Daily checks and assessment of residents health by checking temperatures, BP, Pulse and making daily reports.
Keeping an up-to-date and accurate medication inventory.
Submitting weekly medication orders.
Daily checking the safety and security of the group home.
Offering on the job training to new employees if needed.
Provided or arranging for transportation for the residents for doctors appointments.
Providing or arranging for outside entertainment and or shopping for the residents.
Staying flexible and available for any other assignments.
