My name is Robyn and I have my B. S. in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida (2018), and I am working towards my M. S. in Occupational Therapy at Jefferson University (2022). I have two years of experience at an inclusive gymnastics gym in Gainesville where I worked with a variety of children with developmental disabilities. At the gym, I used effective strategies to assist kids aged 2- 14 to reach their physical and social milestones. I also was very involved with the Special Olympics program and the Adaptive Gymnastics program. I have spent the last few months working at a local elementary school in their Autism Spectrum Disorder class for grades 3-6. I was frequently speaking with the school's Occupational, Behavior, and Speech therapists to ensure each of the students received the best care possible throughout the day. As the school year comes to a close, I am hoping to make more positive impacts in children's lives this summer.
