I am currently a full-time student majoring in Behavior Analysis. I have 6+ years of experience with nanny positions as well as pet sitting. I have 2 years of experience working with children with special needs as a line therapist for an in-home treatment program for children with autism as well as a team lead and director of the Campus Autism Program. Through my high school years and early college I nannied for one family, beginning when the eldest girl was 2 years of age and the twins (girl and boy) were newborns and ending my position when the eldest was 9 year of age and the twins were nearly 7. More recently, my job position and volunteer opportunities have allowed me to work with 10+ children with autism as well as a child with Down's syndrome, all ranging from two years of age to 10 years of age. My family household was always filled with animals of all sorts including: gerbils, rabbits, fish, small birds (finches), cockatiels, cats, dogs, chickens, ducks and the miscellaneous foster animal. Growing up in a rural area, I emphasize the importance of outdoor play and enriching the environment with interactive and social opportunities for any care-giver situation - children, pets and otherwise! I welcome a challenge whether it is physically, intellectually, or emotionally demanding. I enjoy yard work and housework - I tend to be a very organized and put-together person.
