About River

Hi there! My name is River and I use they/them pronouns. I have over 12 years of experience working with youth and I have approximately 8 years of experience working with animals. My experience working with youth starts from coaching youth basketball, to reading to kids at libraries, to becoming a camp counselor for youth that have specific needs to becoming an Assistant Camp Director for 6th Grade Outdoor Science Camp. I was also responsible for taking care of many dogs of different ages and sizes (including my personal dogs). At my work site we have pigs, cows, chickens, horses, sheep, and goats that I assist in feeding, grooming, and cleaning out of stalls. I like to play outside and get dirty in the sand. I enjoy connecting with youth and helping to shape their perspectives on life and the world around them.
