Hello! I am a teacher certified in K-5 (all subjects) and grades 6-8 (Math and Social Studies) in the state of Michigan. I worked as a fifth-grade teacher in 2009-10 and then taught 6-8 grade Math from 2010-2013. I used technology and online learning activities extensively when teaching- I am ready to help with any challenges you have! Since earning my MA in Education from the University of Michigan, I have worked as a Learning Specialist with student-athletes at three universities, from 2013-Jan 2021. This work included a caseload of students with learning disabilities and others who were under-prepared for college academics. I left my most recent position to focus on a more flexible schedule, working with students on a private basis to help them navigate all the challenges this past year has presented. I have a passion for working with students who are involved in athletics, but sometimes lack engagement with school. Please reach out if you are interested! Richard
