I have only worked with a few patients that are special needs. I have done a lot of volunteer work for children with disabilities. I have worked with a man who has MD and couldn't do anything for himself (I had to bathe, dress, feed, clean and etc.). I loved being able to help him and keep a smile on his face. I took care of him for 3 years. It was such an amazing feeling to help him. I took a CNA class but never took the test because a lot was going on personally (I was pregnant). I am also Diabetic (since I was 4). My sister and niece are also diabetic. I have had to care for my sister because she is a heart patient and has had many other health problems including cancer.
