About Rebecca

It has always been a strong passion of mine to help others. Caring for others and making a living out of it would be the most rewarding job, to know you're improving the quality of people's lives. Ever since I can remember I've always wanted to be in the medical field. I am currently volunteering at the local hospital on the telemetry floor. During the time that I am there, I work alongside registered nurses and certified nursing assistants. It gives me great hands on experience! Being on the telemetry floor, I cared for a lot of senior or immobile patients. Some of my duties include: taking vitals, keeping track of input/output, giving bed baths, changing clothes and bedsheets while patients are still in bed, feeding patients, helping patients walk, helping patients use the restroom- bedpan, diaper, or commode, repositioning immobile patients, making sure patients are comfortable, etc. Along with all of the hands on experience I have, I would also like to include that I am certified in CPR & First Aid and have completed a course in medical terminology and anatomy&physiology.
