I currently work for a BPS inclusion elementary school. I specifically work with children on the autism spectrum, ADHD, behavior management plans/IEP and other special needs. I have worked with children in various capacities, as both a babysitter and nanny, OST program director, tutor, 1:1 paraprofessional, mentor and most recently as a classroom aide. My experience is extensive through hands-on experiences but also through various trainings including Working with Diverse Learners, Students with Trauma, varying CORE curriculum trainings, CPR/First Aid, etc. I am confident that I can personalize your child's care this summer by helping them to enjoy their school vacation. Whether that means being academically engaged through various online math and literacy programs, or culturally challenged with visits to Boston museums and art expos. I can tailor a great daily activity schedule for your child that will support their likes and interests while also ensuring that don't retract during the "summer slump". I hope you will consider me as a candidate to work with your child. I am very interested in helping children succeed in all facets of their lives.

Raylyn worked with me in the context of a public elementary school . The School is a fully inclusive school where students with special needs learn together with their peers. I've worked with Raylyn for 5 or 6 years. She ran the after-school program and I was a classroom teacher. Many of my students attended the after-school program so we communicated almost daily. A couple of years later she began working in the school several mornings a week. She worked in my classroom during Writing Workshop and helped my students to write, and learn to revise and edit their writing. Currently she is employed as a classroom teaching assistant. Raylyn is kind and respectful to children. She enjoys working with them and getting to know them. She understands how to help "reluctant" learners and uses humor to persuade them to try their best. She is reliable and responsible. While she was director of the after-school program she managed adult staff members and a budget and reported to the YMCA. Raylyn is intelligent, kind and has a positive attitude. She is a hard worker. I highly recommend her.
