Randy is kind, honest, humble, thoughtful, smart and a fantastic listener. He's very aware of his surroundings which I guess is a common quality among writers and actors like himself; an acute sensitivity, attention to detail and alert in the moment. After Randy received his MFA in acting, he worked on a second MFA at the prestigious Iowa Playwrights Workshop. Ready to ride the momentum of two MFA's in NYC, one of his parents became ill. Randy immediately went to help his parents in Illinois. He lived and cared for them until they both passed. Randy's brother had special needs and Randy gave him his all too. Randy's sense of character and compassion are bursting out of his plays. His appreciation of great historical figures and resurrecting their achievements through his dramatic and often comical storytelling in his one man shows has won an overwhelming amount of awards and grants. Randy is like a brother to me. I'm a single mom, he was like an uncle to my son. Family is #1 to Randy.
