My name is Rachel and I have been a caregiver for over a decade. My caregiving experience began at a young age with my 2 younger siblings. Sounds typical, I know, but due to financial constraints my parents needed me to help out while they were in school and working.
Once I realized this skill set was transferable, I pursued a babysitting and infant CPR certification in middle school. In high school, I successfully attained a Certified Nursing Assistant from the State of Maryland. During this time, I cared for children and adults of varying disabilities, ages and needs. I also worked as a basketball camp counselor every summer in high school.
My most recent experience includes: tutoring a special needs student to help him graduate from high school, mentoring and tutoring a sixth grade student, and acting as a backup sitter.
